I have a thing for unique shoes... I love wearing shoes that get people's attention, shoes that no one else has. I recently came across United Nude-- designer footwear that is sure to start conversations and draw glances your way. How amazing are these Lo Res pumps?! I would rock them in a heartbeat! I'm not sure about the rest though... what do you think? Would you wear any of these shoes?

Label Shoe by Dutch designer Antoine Peters (these pumps make me think of caution tape... I dig)

Block Pump Hi (I do like these but I'm wondering how frequently people would tell you your shoe is broken...)

My vacation to Miami is confirmed! I'm leaving next Saturday for five days and nights in South Beach- woo! The best part: I'm going solo. I went to Florida by myself after my last major breakup, and it was amazing. Lounging on the beach, room service, sleeping in- it was incredibly rejuvenating. So after my rollercoaster spring and summer, I'm taking off again and hoping for the same results. I've never been to Miami Beach, but 2 things are sure to happen next weekend: beaching and clubbing. That said, here are a few things I'd love to throw in my suitcase.

DAY AT THE BEACH...

who doesn't need a teeny-weeny polka dot bikini? this one from roxy is adorbs! rock it with oversized sunglasses from armani exchange, neutrogena ultrasheer sunscreen, fresh sugar rose lip balm, and throw it all in this canvas beach tote.

MIAMI NIGHTLIFE...

I love this bebe dress... accessorized with these pumps and rose clutch- cute! Complete your late-night look with smoky stila shadow and red lip gloss.

It's pretty evident that I could buy my entire wardrobe at White House Black Market... I really love black and white with splashes of red, and white is apparently very big in Miami at the moment. Now all I need is my iPod... got any awesome beach/plane/club tunes I should download?! I'll definitely be putting together a Miami playlist (sans Will Smith please...)

One of the things I really love about living in NYC is being surrounded by creativity. Designers, artists, photographers, writers, and musicians give the city its personality and character. I love discovering local artists whose work I covet-- "made in NYC" just makes things cooler. If you're anything like me, you must shop at Honey & Hazel. Located in Williamsburg, less than a block from the Graham Ave L train stop, H&H is a treasure trove of home decor, jewelry, clothing, baby items, and gifts. We're in the thick of the dog days of summer, and I've had it with the heat! I've been keeping cool bike riding, eating pops, and making batches and batches of sun tea. Shop these cool blues on etsy and find your own relief-- in the form of retail therapy. You're welcome.

1. These butterflies are the latest addition to my Alice in Wonderland bedroom (taking up residence in this tree). Put 'em on your houseplants for a little taste of summer indoors.

2. I love bright colors. This reversible hobo bag is great for a little picnic in the park or a trip to the greenmarket.

3. I hate that my Droid is usually jostling around my purse with my keys and the kitchen sink. This phone cover would keep it safe... and super cute.

4. I love journals. (You can read all about that here...) I'm always jotting blog notes, to-do lists, and ideas. If you're like me, do yourself a favor and keep 'em all in one place. 'Cause post-its are lame.

5. It's a Vespa on a clutch. Could be European... or Williamsburgian, depending on how hard you're trying to be cool. (zoooom!)
